Growing Club Launches in Priors Park
Count Me In! is launching a Food Growing Club in Tewkesbury giving Priors Park families the chance to grow-their-own.
The Growing Places project will be launched on Saturday (March 27th) and has been organised by CMI in partnership with the Priors Park Neighbourhood Project who has given the land to host the growing project.
Four families from the Priors Park estate have already signed up and have been allocated a plot behind the PPNP offices in Queens Road on which they can grow their own vegetables. More spaces are available on a first come, first served basis.
Jo Worthy-Jones, CMI and Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust’s Growing Places Officer, said: “After a very successful garden clearance earlier this month, the families will be able to start growing their own food this weekend. I will be on hand to give any advice and support I can to the families and will hold some food growing workshops throughout the season.”
If anyone else is interested in taking some space, please contact Jo Worthy-Jones on 07793 307104 or Carol at PPNP on 01684 290069.
