Thousands of festival-goers get to grips with Count Me In!
Count Me In! campaigners were delighted to welcome around 2,000 visitors to the information stand at the recent Tewkesbury Food Festival.

At the most successful Festival in the event’s five‐year history, Count Me In! enjoyed a prime position as the many thousands of visitors flocked to The Vineyards to get a glimpse of celebrity chefs James Martin and Cotswold Chef Rob Rees, as well as some 60 food and drink exhibitors.
Around 2,000 people stopped by the stand to find out more about Count Me In! ‐ the Healthy Towns campaign promoting a healthier lifestyle for Tewkesbury residents.
Cotswold chef Rob Rees, who supports the campaign, said:
“The public’s interest in Count Me In! is really beginning to rise. The Festival was a great example of what Count Me In! is about. Good food, great lifestyles, lovely people and a thriving community. “Only with local people embracing it, taking the campaign on and making it their own will it work, now is their chance, and I hope they take it!”
The Count Me In! campaign is aimed at inspiring Tewkesbury residents of all ages to take part in a series of themed activities focussed on Food and Nutrition, The Environment and Physical activity.
It will offer advice on how residents can grow their own foods, ways to improve the community by combating congestion and encourage the townspeople to get active and shape‐up for a better future.
