A – Wheatpieces Community Centre

At the heart of Wheatpieces, the Community Centre has a wealth of activities, clubs, groups and activities to suit all ages and tastes. Gravity Fitness is a new and dynamic fitness class for all ages and abilities. A range of classes are available, from Yoga to Cardio Circuits, Pilates to Zumba dance class. With enthusiastic leadership and friendly classes, there’s something for everyone. For more details, you can visit their site at www.gravityfitness.org.

The Orange Hat is an exciting mix of music, movement and storytelling for children aged 6 months to 4 years. Classes are held each Monday and last 45 minutes. Places are limited, so make sure you book in advance. You can visit their website at www.theorangehat.co.uk.

Dance Tec Funky Street Dancing is the new class that teaches you the very latest street dance moves. Classes are available for ages 3 to 4, 5 to 8, 9 to 12 and 13 to 19 age groups, and a great way to keep healthy and active. If you’d like to find out how to join, contact Rachel on 07778599670.

B – Wheatpieces Community Park

Wheatpieces has loads of green, open spaces for walks and some fresh air. There’s also a play area for younger ones, suitable for toddlers and children up to seven. If you’re interested in taking a walk around Wheatpieces, why not try one of the Count Me In! Walking Maps, with some great routes around the local area for you to try.
